The 507 Ranch is a 507-acre ranch enriched with exotic wildlife and luxurious accommodations for guided hunts and guests that is owned by Greg Faulkner and Hunter Faulkner, and managed by Allan “Huff” Huffman. World-class Axis deer also know as chital have been harvested on this ranch for over 25 years with most of hunters’ Axis bucks classifying as gold medal record book SCI category entries.

Land & Wildlife Management

Bordered by the world famous 35,000-acre Ford Ranch on two sides, The 507 Ranch is a hunter’s paradise with excellent cover for our diverse wildlife with sprawling live oak motts combined into mesquite flats and scattered cedar elms. Juniper cedars and prickly pear are nominal and not problematic while there is an abundance of wild forage and browse for deer. Wildlife at The 507 Ranch include axis deer, whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkey, quail, dove, coyote, wild hog, rattlesnake and many, many more. Native grasses are abundant as we work hard to maintain excellent range management practices with no signs of overgrazing. We adhere to industry standard wildlife and range management best practices including habitat control, range enhancement, predator control, and supplemental food and water, to name a few.

Learn more about these practices and more in the Texas Wildlife Management Activities and Practices.

Testimonials

Thank you for allowing me to stay at the new 507 Ranch. What a place, and what memories I will have forever. For years, I have tried to instill in our company culture  to ‘have a sense of ownership.’ Wow, Allan has that mindset as clear as anyone I have ever seen. If I didn’t know better, I would think it was his ranch!  He treats it with care and reverence. You have an absolute gold mine in the ranch and your caretaker.”

“Here are a couple of memories of last week. One Mouflon and I will have the “Texas Ram Grand Slam”
— Bob Kirkman

If I was able to give it more than 5 Stars, I would! Over the years, my buddy has been telling me I really needed to go hunt The 507 Ranch, and I was finally able to make the trip out from Colorado the weekend of June 13th 2020. I cannot say how happy I am that we were able to make it happen. The Owner, Greg Faulkner; our Guide; Allan “Huff” Huffman, and Ranch hand; Riley Nunn run a Top notch operation. Upon arriving, we were greeted “Texas style”. We were shown to our sleeping cabin and then headed over to the kitchen cabin for our introduction to the 507. The 1st morning, Huff and Riley put me on an Axis, and I was fortunate to harvest a 32” trophy buck. We also enjoyed the home style cooking and sleeping facilities. If you are able to make the trip to The 507, I highly recommend you checking it off of your Bucket List”. It’s a great place to unwind, relax by the fire, and forget all your troubles!
